Crowns

Dental Crown

A crown is an artificial tooth that fits over a cracked or broken natural tooth. Dental crowns can be made from metal, usually gold or ceramic materials such as porcelain or a combination of both.

Bridges

Dental Bridge

A bridge is an artificial but permanent replacement for one or more missing tooth. It is anchored to the adjacent teeth.

Inlay/onlay

Inlays and onlays are normally used in situations where a tooth is too damaged or fragile for a normal filling. An impression of the tooth is taken and used to create a filling made from a hard material that is then fitted in or around the tooth.

Inlays and onlays have traditionally been made from gold but can be made of porcelain or a composite resin, which comes in several shades and can be matched to the colour of the tooth.

Root Canal

Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment is needed when the blood or nerve supply of the tooth (known as the pulp) is infected through decay or injury, causing pain. If left untreated, in some cases, the tooth would eventually die and would have to be extracted.

Our dentists are skilled at performing Root Canal treatment and in the majority of cases can save the tooth.

Dentures

Dentures are prosthetic devices constructed to replace missing teeth, which are supported by surrounding soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity.

There are 2 types of denture, full and partial. A full denture replaces all the teeth in the upper or lower jaw. A partial denture replaces a few teeth in either the lower or upper jaw.

Extractions

Occasionally a tooth has to be removed because of severe decay or because it is causing crowding.

At Confident Dental, our dentists are highly skilled at removing teeth from simple extractions to surgical extractions.

Sedation for nervous patients

Many patients are terrified of visiting the dentist for a regular check up never mind treatment of any length.

At confident Dental, we have a number of Dentists who are specialized in administering sedation.

During sedation, a patient is relaxed and  awake but unaware of their immediate surroundings. A patient can be kept sedated for the full length of the treatment.

For less nervous patients we can also offer Hypnosis.
